American Family Voices - Miriam V.

Dear American Family Voices Supporter:

On Friday, American Family Voices joined forces with the Public Campaign
Action Fund and
launched a television ad detailing how newly appointed House Majority Leader
Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX) are one in the same. The ad is
supposed
to run on all eight network television stations in
Springfield and Joplin, Missouri. Due to a threatening letter they received
from Blunt's attorney, four stations are now refusing to air our ad.

The ad illustrates how Blunt funneled money he received from former House
Majority Leader Tom DeLay through the Missouri Republican Party to his son
Matt
Blunt's gubernatorial campaign. Entitled "Laundromat," the ad explains how
DeLay, who was recently indicted for money laundering in a scheme where he
funneled
illegal
corporate contributions to help elect Republicans in Texas, donated $150,000
to Rep. Blunt. In return, Blunt funneled DeLay's money to his son's campaign
and a company that hired DeLay's wife.

Obviously, Blunt is feeling the heat and we refuse to let up. Over the next
few weeks American Family Voices will be running three other ads targeting
members
of Congress for their close relationships to DeLay and the oil industry.

Our work is not done and we need your help to continue.
Please contribute to our efforts in anyway you can.

We will continue tracking members embroiled in the House Lobbying Scandal
like DeLay and Blunt, but we can't do it without you. As a committed member
of
the American Family Voices team, we must once again ask for your support.

Sincerely,

Mike Lux, President
