I just saw CNN, and their special on cooking of the Iraqi intelleigence and the Bush administrations lying to go to war with Iraq, and let me tell you, after seeing this, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Tenet should all be facing charges of lying to the American people, and in the cases of Bush and Cheney and Rummy, impeachment charges should be started.
What I saw was blatent. Cheney pushing to go to war without evidence. Bush lying to the American people when he said that Saddam was trying to uranium from Niger. Tenet on Dec. 21, 2002 telling Bush that the evidence against saddam was a "slam dunk". The Downing Street memo being ignored by both Bush and Tony Blair. Bush talking about going to war with Iraq a single day after 9/11, even though no evidence came about that Saddam was involved in 9/11. Bush going before the UN to announce that Saddam was a "grave and growing threat" when again their was no evidence to prove it.

Dick Cheney saying before the VA that their was a link between Saddam and Al.Qaeda. Bush a couple of days later, saying the same thing, again with no evidence to back them up. Colin Powell again at the UN, presenting "evidence" that Iraq was trying to acquire chemical and biological weapons. Again, false. Bush and the CIA relying on a known liar known as "curveball" saying that chem. and bio. labs were very evident in Iraq. Another charge proven to be false. Powell not told about the existence of curveball and was kept out of the loop by Tenet, Bush and Cheney. Rumsfeld setting up "alternative intelligence" to combat the shaky and growing doubts about the prewar intel. Bush, Cheney, Tenet, Rice and others "cherry picking" intelligence to bolster their plans to attack Saddam, and ignoring obvious holes in the credibility of the CIA. Bush and his liars ignoring a national intelligence estimate that Saddam was no threat to either the US or anyone else in the region.
These charges are but the tip of the iceberg in the growing scandal that is Iraq. It is quite obvious that the Bush administration was going to attack Iraq from the start, and needed an excuse. 9/11 was that excuse. The administration ignored facts that Saddam was no threat. It set up events that were made to get the US to oust Saddam at the earliest possible moment. They cooked the books and lied to the American people, and to this day, they just continue lying to us.
This program sent chills up and down my spine. Close to 1900 soldiers are dead. It is also painfully obvious that the right wingers in this country will be on the attack as soon as first light hits on Monday. More and more holes are being shot into their little warmonger fantasy world. In my eyes, the Bush crime family should be brought up on charges of treason. They knowingly lied to us, and are directly responsible for the Vietnam like quagmire that is Iraq. How many more soldiers have to die before Congress takes action? How many more have to die before the Republicans wake up and start asking the questions that need to be asked? What will be the response of the American people? Ho Hum!!!! Those words about cover it.
